A few days ago Kanye West, a famous rapper was spotted at a New York concert wearing skirt over pants, and within minutes his photos were all over. Kanye is one of those people with experimental sense of fashion and do not fear trying out anything. This is good because at least he has given the skirt-over-pants style the publicity it needed.Well, skirt over-pants-style has been there for a little while now, just that people were not so keen on trying out at first. Personally I find this style a trendy, versatile and classic piece that every woman should have in her closet. Skirts worn over pants are the new unconventional alternative way of dressing up. If you are thinking of glamorizing your day look, this can be one way of reinforcing a change in your fashion sense.Watching Style channel, I realized that most fashion houses have embraced this style and have featured in their pre-spring/summer 2013 collections. The designs of skirt over pants made by the big names like Marc Jacobs and Roksanda Ilincic, have hit the runways and people like the designs.At the Louis Vuitton fashion show, they decided to work with heavy wool dresses that almost reached model’s ankles, leaving only a hint of trouser leg peeking out below hem lines.
