ALSO READ: Cabo Delgado: What Rwandan and Mozambican forces are doing after securing two districts During interactions with the RSF in Mocimboa da Praia District, Kabarebe “conveyed a message from H.E President Paul Kagame appreciating their commitment in fulfilling their duties and encouraged them to remain steadfast and dedicated in achieving good results,” the statement reads. Rwanda deployed troops to Cabo Delgado in July 2021 at the request of the government of Mozambique to support efforts to restore Mozambican state authority by conducting combat and security operations against armed extremists linked to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
