Lust? Stay away from it on your first date

My married brothers and sisters...ignore this! Now singles, some of you will go, “ No, she didn’t’’ but, Oh yes, I did! I’m talking about women who find it necessary to be ‘kind’ the very day they meet a man. Let’s see, the first date is what I would call the ‘external introduction’ of what could be a good thing...or maybe not!After a few shots of tequila yes, you will be convinced that you are on a date with Chris Hemsworth himself. In fact, you will convince yourself that if you do not show your ‘naughty side’, ‘Hemsworth’ might just move on to someone who will.There is just one problem though, after screening exactly how naughty you are all night, Hemsworth suddenly gets amnesia and your phone becomes literally allergic to his calls. What do you? You start questioning yourself...is it me? Is he irritated by the fact that I gave it up on the first date (even though that night he seemed anything BUT irritated)? Why isn’t he calling? Should I call?For one, stop torturing yourself by trying to figure out why someone doesn’t do something. It is hard enough trying to figure out why someone does something! I keep telling you men are strange creatures but it seems people think I am a former mental institution patient! You see, the first time is different, he will not know what a woman is like in the sack (forgive me). So, a ‘tryout’ is definitely on the table! But then, everything hits the fan the moment he finds out that the ‘tryout’ is no more exciting than a priest reciting the Apostle’s Creed!Painful but true...because when this man who went MIA on you faster than you could say, ‘We should do this again sometime’ finally showed his face again, about a zillion excuses followed, with him endangering other people’s lives by swearing on them, insisting his phone was stolen or he was out of town.I know they say sex is a casual thing, but not for women who are set on getting a ring. There is simply no time for casual. And maybe that is why ‘bedroom issues’ are rushed- afraid of the ticking clock- only to realise they just wasted some more time with a guy whose level of serious matches a clown’s! Back to the oddity of men, they like a girl who takes her time, not a cross breed of a prostitute and Paris Hilton. However, if a woman feels that hitting it off that way on the first date is okay, you best believe that a man (well, okay not all of them) won’t protest. So it is up to us!Lay off the Sex and the City episodes, at least when it comes to reality because they will mess you up. This isn’t Sex and the City and you are certainly not Kim Cattrall. Focus more and finding out about him; what a pity it would be if you rushed into it only to find out he was ‘roomies’ with another one night stand! Oops! Don’t do it again!
