Women entrepreneurs should join hands in order to have a focused and strong private sector, the Minister for Commerce, Monique Nsanzabaganwa has said. She explained that this is one of the ways through which women can achieve their emancipation, as well as nurturing the private sector’s contribution towards economic growth since it crucial. She gave the advise during the launch of membership cards for the Women Entrepreneurs Chamber (WEC), an umbrella body in the Private Sector Federation (PSF). Nsanzabaganwa continued that there were many investment opportunities available to them and all it needed weas for them to merge and pool their resources together. At the ceremony held at Kigali Serena Hotel on Saturday, Harriette Zimulinda, the WEC’s president, said that the chamber was determined to advocate for all its members in order to achieve economic development. She said that despite its efforts the chamber still faced many challenges such as capacity building in business management and entrepreneurial skills, and capital. Nsanzabaganwa added that the government was determined to empower women in all aspects of life in order to bring about economic development. Ends
