She was until her election the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs. Among her priorities, Truss said she will address the issue of energy crisis and take measures to curb increasing cost of living such as tax cuts. She has previously said she will push for the UK-Rwanda migration deal that will see Rwanda host migrants who have entered the UK illegally. Announcing the deal earlier this year, the two nations said they were taking bold steps to help address the imbalance in global opportunities which drives illegal migration while dismantling the incentive structures which empower criminal gangs and endanger innocent lives.
