THE national Under 19 girls cricket team is set to compete in the 2012 Africa U19 Ladies tournament slated for December 8-9 in Kampala, Uganda.The team is expected to travel to Kampala this Thursday. A total of six teams will compete in the three-day tournament. They include hosts Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Mozambique, Botswana and Tanzania.Rwanda will kick off their campaign on Saturday against Kenya, hosts Uganda will play Botswana, and Tanzania will meet Mozambique. On the same day, Rwanda will face Botswana, while host Uganda faces Kenya.On Sunday, for the second day of the competition, Rwanda will be up against the hosts at KC Budo ground, Kenya plays Tanzania at Lugogo while Botswana plays with Mozambique at Kyambogo oval.On third day; Monday, Rwanda will face Tanzania; Mozambique will play Uganda, while Kenya will be playing with Botswana. In the afternoon of the same day, Tanzania will play with host Uganda while Rwanda will finish their campaign as they will play against Mozambique.The tournament is under the sponsorship of Africa Cricket Association. Last year Rwanda finished in fourth position in six teams.
