MUKURA Victory Sport owes coach Ali Bizimungu Rwf1.2m in salary arrears dating from the 2009/2010 season when he was in charge of the Huye side.In a recent interview, the Rayon Sport assistant coach threatened to take his case to the local football governing body, Ferwafa for arbitration if Mukura managers don’t pay up. “I have been patient for a long time, giving them enough time to look for my money but it appears as though they just don’t want to pay me, and if the situation does not change soon, I will involve Ferwafa for help,” the former Mukura coach told Times Sport. The former SC Kiyovu coach, signed a one-year contract with Mukura in the 2009/2010 season, but because of financial constraints which the Huye-based club suffered at the time, it was then that his bosses failed to meet their obligation to pay players and coaching staff regularly. When contacted, the club Secretary General Olivier Mulindahabi acknowledged they owe their former club coach the money but promised to pay it up, but only in instalments.“We have agreed with him that we will pay him but not at once. It has taken this long but the fact is we shall pay him,” Mulindahabi said.He noted, “It has been a long time but the new committee has started the process of paying him and we hope very soon we will give him the first instalment,” he said.
