Amavubi and Rayon Sport striker Jerome Sina has been ruled out of action for two weeks with an arm injury he sustained during last week’s group C match against Zanzibar at a soggy Namboole stadium.Amavubi head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic told Times Sport yesterday, “I have lost two key players, Sina and Mwemere Girinshuti.”“Sina is out for two weeks but Girinshuti has a chance to play a part in Monday’s quarterfinal game against Tanzania because his knee injury has shown signs of getting better,” added Micho. The Serbian blasted the organisers for ignoring Fifa rules, something which saw matches being played in a waterlogged Namboole stadium. “Under all Fifa rules, when the ball can’t bounce back, you are not playing football, and because of the poor state of the field, we lost key players.”The organisers suspended the use of Namboole stadium since Thursday’s matches to allow the pitch to dry up and readied to host the quarterfinal matches. Hosts Uganda will play their quarter final match against Ethiopia at Namboole on Tuesday.
