National youth (boys) volleyball team coach, Jean Marie Nsengiyumva has named a provisional 19-players squad to start preparations for the upcoming CAVB zone V qualifiers.Rwanda will host both the youth boys and junior girls zone V championships, and Nsengiyumba will be in charge of boys’ team, while Paul Bitok will handle the girls’. The team will start training at Groupe Scolaire de Butare.The team will undergo intensive preparations for next three weeks ahead of the qualifiers, which will be held in Rwanda in January next year. “As host country, we need to have a strong team capable of using home advantage to win the title,” Nsengiyunva said after picking his team this week.The Ex-Rwandan national team star is also the head coach of league side Kigali Volleyball Club. He will be in charge of the U17 team, which will be looking to qualify for the Africa youth championship. Rwanda will host CAVB men’s and women’s youth championships in the first week of January 2013.Full squad: Guide R.
