Umumararungu (Rwa) 6-4 7-6(4)THREE junior players, Anatole Bizimana, Olivier Havugimana and Gisele Umumararungu were eliminated from the ITF U 18s Circuit at Mombasa Sports Club on Thursday.Bizimana, who is ranked 1545 on the ITF junior rankings, lost to Yemen’s Alansi Ghassan in the second round 1-6 7-6 (5) 1-6 after getting a bye from the first round.Havugimana, who beat Kenya’s Paul Mallo 6-0 6-2 in the first round, suffered a second round exit at the hands of South Africa’s De Bruyn 7-6(3) 3-6 6-1.In the girls’ category, 1645-ranked Umumararungu, who got a bye into the first round, beat Kenya’s Finningan Zahra 7-5 7-5 to reach the quarter final where she lost to Egyptian’s Dina Hegab 4-6, 6-7(4).Despite early elimination, the trio’s performance will earn them international ranking points.
