Editor,WE appreciate what the government is doing in supporting the entrepreneurs. Hanga Umurimo is a very good idea. However, this is just a drop in the ocean. Out of 16,000 applications, not even 5 per cent of those are received. We need the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry to support more Rwandans because there are very many with wonderful business ideas, who are also passionate, zealous, ambitious and visionary but on the other hand, it would be good to have a team of experts to train Rwandans on how to put business ideas on paper (Business Planning) and then after that MINICOM will support them to get funding. Private Sector Federation can also do a better job. We are waiting to see good stuff from them, Entrepreneurship is the way forward not only for Rwanda but for Africa to be free from Aid. If we want to keep singing the song of Agaciro, we should also stop relying and living on other nations’ money. All the very best to each one of us in our visions and ambitions.Andrew Cohen, Kigali (Reaction to a story ‘Hanga Umurimo creates 1200 jobs’ published yesterday)
