Three people were injured in a minor bus accident in Rusizi town, on Saturday, June 17. The Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) tweeted photos of the bus after it veered off the road and plunged into a valley in the morning. Irere said the bus driver, Emmanuel Niyonsenga, had parked the vehicle in a steep area. It slipped and ran into the road, knocking and injuring a motorist by the name of Damas Byiringiro, before it plunged into a valley. Two people who were on board also suffered injuries. According to reports by Rusizi FM, a community radio in the region, the vehicle had been parked near a cliff as the driver waited for more commuters to come in when, all of a sudden, it veered off the road. No fatalities have been reported.
