Enough with the texts already

I would like to meet the person who thought it would be a great idea to send texts to the public about God knows what as if we are all interested. I do not want to meet this person to fight or hurl insults but to ask if he/she derives pleasure from getting on my nerves, or if they do not know it actually pisses me off, now they do and can therefore stop! I’m just being honest, okay?I get the feeling that these texts are sent with an evil grin, like a habitual beeper who won’t even give you a chance to check your phone! I don’t know about you but if I get one more Migeprof or Police text, I am going to slit my wrists!Personally, when a message comes in from Police, I panic, thinking they are telling me to report to the nearest police station a.s.a.p.! It’s quite unsettling, I tell you.I probably wouldn’t mind so much if whoever is sending these texts was kind enough to send another in English. Nothing frustrates me more than hearing my phone buzz, knowing a message has come through, excited thinking someone is asking me out for a drink, only to open the damn text and Migeprof is saying something I literally don’t understand.Another time, again, thinking I had an interesting message to read, it turned out King James had a lot of airtime and assumed we were very bored, very forgetful and needed constant reminding. I was informed on his upcoming album launch – and continued to get the same text about four times that day, as if I hadn’t already seen him on a billboard somewhere. Okay, maybe I hadn’t but that was no reason to traumatise me with texts about an album launch I’m not even going to attend. I’m really getting tired of deleting these messages!Here’s the thing, if Police, King James or whatever feel the need to send texts to everyone with a mobile phone, could these texts at least come in English too? I would rather they stopped for good but seeing as there is a chance that won’t happen, English would be great.Maybe it’s just me, but chaps are economising and don’t text as often as they used to, so I’m sure you can understand my frustration with texts I assume are friends remembering I exist. Enough already!
