Genocide suspects must prove their innocence in court

Editor,This world is unfair. This man Modeste Kennedy Hakizimana may never see his day in court. The British high court has showed in the case of a certain Bajinya and his co-accused genocide suspect that impunity will reign supreme in the land of Democracy on the pretext that these suspected mass murderers will not get a fair trial in the country where they committed crimes against humanity. This decision nullifying that of the Home Secretary to extradite the accused to Rwanda to face trial, is unfortunate. The court followed the preference of the so-called human rights organisations whose hatred for the Rwandan Government is far greater than their commitment to the rights of the victims of the genocide. And they wonder why Rwandans have nothing but pure contempt for both them and courts that promote genocide impunity in violation of solemn international covenants.
