BY BONNY MUKOMBOZI NORTHERN PROVINCE The evaluation exercise to assess the performance in the implementation of the targets (Imihigo), ways of operation, challenges and solutions has been held to harmonise districts’ activities. The Governor of Northern Province, Boniface Rucagu will be meeting district leaders, army, police and NGOs to collectively access the outcome of the declarations of the set objectives performances. Rucagu said: “We are assessing what is being done, the problems faced; because marks out 100 shall be awarded. Things like how tenders are offered, the turn-up for Gacaca and general performance in other activities are being considered.’’ Asked whether there are specific things required for better performance, the governor said every district has set-up objectives and what is left is the execution of duties. The evaluation exercise is in line with the understanding between district leaders and the president to set up targets and oversee their implementation.
