The 2012-2013 second division league will start on December 1, according to Rwanda football federation, (Ferwafa). This year’s league will have 18 teams divided in two groups. Group A has Gasabo United, Sec, Rwamagana, Sunrise, Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle, Unity FC, Gicumbi FC, Kirehe FC, SORWATHE FC, and NUR.Group B includes Esperance FC, Interforce FC, Intare FC, Akagera FC, ASPOR FC, Bugesera FC, Etoile De L’est, Kinyinya Pepinniere FC, and United Stars.According to Ferwafa officials, all teams must have medical insurance for their players before the league starts. The federation has also urged clubs to submit all the required documents before November 23. Any team that will not meet the deadline faces a fine of Rwf100,000.Last year Musanze won the second league title after beating AS Muhanga but both teams were promoted to the Primus National Football League.
