Editor,The Ministry of Public Service and Labour should develop a systematic approach to define, measure and report on employment, unemployment and job creation issues in the economy. In the formal sector, it is very easy and a system can be developed within a month. In the informal sector, a system can be developed before 2012 ends.At best, we should have these figures by 2013, at worst by start of next financial year. They are helpful for planning and evaluation purposes.Concerned reader
