Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Standard Liege are on the verge of signing Rwanda international Hakim Sahabo from French Ligue 1 side Lille. Sahabo, 17, enjoyed an excellent season with Lille in the just-ended French Ligue 1 U19 season where he scored five goals. The forward's exploits have caught the attention of Standard Liege who are ready to sign him and give him an opportunity in the senior team for next season. Liege manager Geoffrey Valenne is focusing on talented teenagers across Europe and Sahabo is next to be signed after they acquired the services of Northern Ireland teenage midfielder Isaac Price from Everton. Sahabo previously featured in the academies of Beerschot, Anderlecht, Genk as well as Mechelen all from Belgium.
