This year’s Carre d’As tournament which brings together the top four teams in national volleyball league finally takes place this weekend at Amahoro Indoor Stadium and Kimisagara Gymnasium.The teams taking part include; the National University of Rwanda (NUR), APR, Nyanza and Kibungo Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education (INATEK) in the men’s category at Amahoro stadium.APR, Rwanda Revenue Authority, St Alloys Rwamagana and Ruhango will compete for the women’s title at Kimisagara Gymnasium and the final at Amahoro stadium.According to the national volleyball federation Secretary General Gertrude Kubwimana, all teams will meet in a round-robin basis and the two winners in both the men and women’s categories will play the final on Sunday.“All teams will play in the preliminary phase and the top two in each category will meet in the final Sunday,” she said.APR are the men’s defending champions, while Rwanda Revenue Authority will be defending the women’s crown.Meanwhile, on Sunday, APR men and women teams will be officially crowned the winners of their respective leagues.
