The Mauritania national football team ‘Mourabitounes’ has embarked on final preparations at Nyamirambo stadium ahead of the 2010 Fifa world cup/Africa nations’ cup qualifier against Rwanda this Saturday. The Mourabitounes who arrived in the country on Sunday will be holding daily training sessions until Thursday at Nyamirambo stadium. National team coach Alain Robert Moizan has named a strong 21-man team to face Amavubi stars. Mauritania faces Rwanda in her first qualifying campaign on May 31. Other countries in the group eight include; Morocco and Ethiopia. Mauritania will host Morocco in Nouakchott on June 7 before playing away to Ethiopia a week later. The Mourabitounes will then host Ethiopia on June 21 in a return leg in Nouakchott. On September 6, Mauritania will host Rwanda in Nouakchott in a second leg clash before winding up their campaign away against the Atlas Lions in Rabat on October 10.
