After winning ‘Agaciro Development Fund’ tournament, coach Abdu Mbarushimana is confident that Rayon Sport can win the league title this season.It was the first trophy for the Blues in seven years, since winning the Peace Cup in 2005 and the league title in 2004. Rayon Sport management has confirmed Mbarushimana and Ali Bizimungu as the club coaches for upcoming season and the pair says they are ready for the challenge ahead.Bizimungu was Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s assistant coach last season before Ntagwabira resigned for his duties, while Abdu Mbarushimana coached Nyanza FC at that time.“Rayon Sport is ready to challenge for the league title, we are ready for the challenges ahead and we want to compete for every trophy this season, and I hope we will do better than last season or even the last season seasons” Mbarushimana told Times Sport this week.He noted, “As coaches we are proud of the job we are doing and this year Rayon Sport can win the title, it is massive club, which has history so we want to be part of this history.” He added that their philosophy will be to play good attacking football, which the fans want to see their team do. “We have good players and we are confident in them as they shown strong character during the Agaciro tournament. I am happy with how my team played. “We have been with this team since the pre-season and everything is going well, and we understand each other and players are making good progress so we hope to be up for the next season” Mbarushimana noted.Rayon Sport has returned in Nyanza on Tuesday where it will be based and Nyanza District will be their main sponsor.After 26 years in Kigali City, Rayon was founded in Nyanza on May 1968 and moved to Kigali in 1986 and has been using Amahoro Stadium for their home matches but for this time the will use the Nyanza turf. The team will continue to play its big matches at in Kigali.
