Editor,The Agaciro Development Fund is a very well conceived idea. It shows the commitment of the Rwandans to their country, society and brothers and sisters. The whole world, especially those business-people who just increase their figures of profits in each quarter and financial year, whatever may be the effect on the common people, whatever may be inflation; they should learn from this idea and should contribute generously to the solidarity fund. Such business people should not just increase the prices of products but rather reduce them so that the common man is not affected. Such funds will help the country to be self-dependent.Dr Sandeep Goyal, Kigali ------------------------------------------Editor,As ever spot on Diana Mpyisi – Well done! However much as we all agree that Agaciro is the way forward, there is some skepticism out there as to whether enough is being done to drive out any inefficiencies in the system. When times are tough, the first call should always be effective financial management. Therefore, lets embrace Agaciro but, at the same time, increase transparency, accountability and drive out inefficiencies in public finances. Just a complementary thought!
