Five dead, thousands displaced by dam spillage in Ghana

At least five people were confirmed dead and thousands displaced by floodwaters in the Upper East region of Ghana following the spillage of excess water from the Bagre Dam in neighboring Burkina Faso, a senior government official said on Monday.
