Editor,I was pleased to read an article in The New Times issue of September 6, titled “Multinational firm begins operations in Kigali.”The entry of this leading multinational firm into the country reflects the tremendous confidence various segments of business have in the rapid growth and development that is taking place in the country.The business climate created by the Government is very conducive and extremely customer friendly.Only a couple of weeks ago, four investors from India were in Rwanda and were bowled over by the overall experience in the country. Not only did all four register their respective businesses with the Rwanda Development Board, but they also opened their bank accounts with a local bank and are all set to launch their operations in Kigali.One of the investors, the eminent Homeopath, Dr Sejal Sanghavi, even went to the extent of registering her medical practice with the concerned authorities and she now has a fully fledged license to practice Homeopathy in the country.That Regus has come to Rwanda is, therefore, very good news and the officials from this multinational firm would do well to forward me all the relevant details.
