Dear Editor, I am writing to respond to an article published in The New Times May 21, “Flood victims accuse local leaders of nepotism in land distribution.” My suggestion is that the Ombudsman should order a probe into the matter in order to take appropriate action against leaders involved in dubious action of giving favours to their close friends; in complete disregard of the plight of the flood victims. These people are grappling with the problem of food shortages, stay in tents, and you would expect every responsible person to have their problems at heart. Kanombe
