Miss Rwanda 2012: The Contestants

I think you’ve heard it…Miss Rwanda is back after almost three years. And after a search that covered the whole country, the grand finale is just a few days away. Currently, the girls (15 finalists) who are vying for the crown are in the boot camp at a location I won’t reveal, where they are under going extensive training in etiquette, good grooming and physical exercises.They are also learning about the history, social and economic matters of Rwanda so they can ably represent the country in any forum required in an enlightened manner.The boot camp commenced on the August 18 2012 and will end on the September 2.The Miss Rwanda Beauty contestants are supposed to be Rwandan by nationality and living in the country, aged between 18 and 24 years old, have a minimum height of 170cm, fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French.They should have no criminal record, not married, not pregnant, have completed at least six years of secondary education, and should posses a recommendation letter from their villages where they come from for easy identification.The organisers for Miss Rwanda 2012 are the Ministry of Sports and Culture in partnership with Mashirika Performing Arts and Media Company Limited.For the next few days, we shall bring you all the ladies who will compete for the crown this Saturday at the Expo Grounds in Gikondo but let’s start with the ladies who were 2nd runners up in all the five provinces, of Rwanda.
