Amapiano is at the top of the most trending music genres in Rwanda, and the recent edition of Intore Sundays event just proved it. Thousands of revelers were packed at Mundi Centre on Sunday, May 27, to experience an energetic performance of Pcee and Justin99, the most trending Amapiano stars today. The fourth of this kind event attracted thousands of partygoers having staged one day after the Basketball Africa League (BAL) championship game that attracted different celebrities from across the world. At around midnight, Rwandan rapper and poet Kivumbi King took the mic and changed the mood at the fully packed venue. Backed by DJ Pyfo, Kivumbi performed his recently released tracks such as ‘Keza’, and ‘Yalampaye’ that featured Kirikou Akiri of Burundi, among others. He was followed by the main headliners of the event, Pcee and Justin99, all who delivered an electrifying performance full of the most trending Amapiano hits today. The duo started their session with exclusive songs and later played their breakthrough tracks including Zotata and Kilimanjaro. Pcee and Justin99 became the third Amapiano DJs to perform in Rwanda, following Uncle Waffles, The Soul Nativez and Major League DJs who performed at the Amapiano to The World event held on November 4, 2022. Intore Sundays is becoming one of the most popular events, with Kigali’s middle class and expatriate community embracing it in equal measure.
