Rwanda’s Minister of Culture and Sport, Joseph Habineza has warned Amavubi Stars team to avoid blame games ahead of the 2010 World and Africa Cup qualifiers which get underway on May 30. Habineza, who held a brief get-together with the team at Alpha Palace on Sunday encouraged every body; be on the team, journalists and the whole at country at large to avoid blaming each other in the team’s current poor run of performances. “We should avoid blame games and concentrate on building a strong team, which will bring positive results in future.” “I call on you (Amavubi team players) to have focus, concentration, determination and preparation as well as motivation to bring results (to the national team).” “Amavubi team is not for me or Ferwafa but the team belongs to the country and we should work as Rwandans to bring back pride to the nation,” Habineza rapped. The Minister also encouraged the players to work hard as a unit ahead of the 2010 World Cup/Africa Nations Cup qualifiers where Rwanda hosts Mauritania in Kigali on May 30.” “Much as you played a better game this time round (on Saturday), you should focus on getting maximum points against Mauritania. That should be our target,” Habineza noted. “We need maximum points from the Mauritania game. It should be a must win for us,” Habineza told the responsive Amavubi team. Ends
