COGEBANQUE: A CITIZEN BANK

Operational since 1999, COGEBANQUE remained largely a Rwandan Bank ever since its creation. With a sound financial position, the Bank’s Equity and financial structure were reinforced with the entry of its minority shareholders in 2008. COGEBANQUE was endowed with necessary means for its own development, which is currently translated into positive operating results with an excellent liquidity position. This allows the Bank to extend to its customers different types of credit facilities needed for Rwanda’ economy to grow. COGEBANQUE offers to its customers all classic banking services available on the market. Moreover, it also offers products that are unique. These unique products offered are in various categories like:• Advance on salary, • Education loans,• Family events loan, and • Personal loan for consumption and mortgage.It also provides new types of credits tailored to SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), taking into account that SMEs often have a challenge of obtaining the required guarantees. For this purpose, COGEBANQUE teamed up with the BDF (Business Development Fund) that strengthen collaterals of SMEs for easy access to funding. COGEBANQUE increased its interventions in the agricultural sector. Our Bank is ready to work will all actors who deal with this area (Districts, Cooperatives, cooperative, Sacco, individual farmers) to help in starting and increasing agricultural production.With regard to the priority of the authorities, COGEBANQUE is to continue to be a citizen Bank, i.e. a bank which is at the service of the country. For this end, the Bank participates in vital projects to develop the economy of Rwanda. COGEBANQUE also has the Corporate Social Responsibility where they are dedicated to participate in national programs such as GIRINKA, One Dollar Campaign, Bye Bye Nyakatsi, Nine and then Twelve Years Basic Education, etc.Convinced that it is the quality of service which must guide his daily action, COGEBANQUE invests in the training of its employees. To enhance the operating efficiency, the Bank has just acquired a new core banking system - DELTABANK-in its latest version. With this system, all branches are directly connected to the central computer site. This allows the Bank to provide to customers the same level of service from all branches, regardless of the location. COGEBANQUE meets the highest international standards on financial transparency in conformity with rules and regulations laid down by the National Bank of Rwanda and in strict respect of the laws of the country.It also welcomes the rule of law and security that reigns in the country.
