TANZANIAN Vodacom Premier League champions Simba SC could raid APR pair of Twite twin brothers, Mbuyu and Kabange, for the upcoming season. The Twite brothers, who have been at APR since 2006, have played a big role in winning trophies for the military side. Both are free agents after their contracts expired last month.According to Simba Sports Club vice Chairman Kaburu Nyange, the Tanzanian champions want the duo to strengthen their squad to successfully defend their domestic title and make a meaningful push in the continental CAF Champions League next year.“We are looking at strengthening our striking force, midfield and defence. We already have Ngassa Mrisho whom we signed on Wednesday (from Azam). We have a provision of having five players from outside Tanzania,” he was quoted in the Tanzanian press yesterday. Kaburu says they want to seal all the loopholes in the defence as well as the midfield and that the Twite brothers will fit into the team. When contacted yesterday defender Mbuyu told Times Sport, “I am free to move to any club as long as I have not heard from APR. If Simba want me, they are welcome for talks.”
