Coca-Cola leagueThird phase final APR 3-1 KVC APR kept their fantastic run in the revamped 2008 Coca-Cola volleyball league going with a 3-1 win over archrivals Kigali Volleyball Club at Amahoro stadium indoor courts on Thursday. The win handed the reigning champions their third successive phase win in the league and kept the club on course for a replica of the 2007 season. Like last year, APR has bagged the first three phases and unless the likes of Rwanda National University (UNR) and KVC double their effort, the army-side could be headed for a fourth successive phase win when league action moves to Nyaza later today. With the likes of Lawrence Yakan and Marshal Kwizera back into APR’s starting line-up after shaking off minor injuries, club coach Jean Luc Ndayikengurukiye can afford to sit back and relax. Thursday’s win was very important for us because we were relieved of the pressure. We are over 50 points clear and want to keep it that way or even widen the gap, Ndayikengurukiye told Times Sport. Lawrence and Kwizera are also in better shape and should play a big role for us in Nyaza, he continued.Ends
