I am a teacher from California. I spent 3 weeks in your wonderful country this summer. I read The New Times whenever I could get one. I thought I brought all my copies home. As I searched through them last night, I realized I didn’t bring back one of the articles I wanted to use in my classroom. It was in June or early July and it was a short piece about the way school used to be. It had a cartoon of a blackboard and a tree I believe and the writer was thinking back on how kids used to have to take notes on their legs with thorns. Do you recall that article? Do you have a copy in your archives you could send me electronically?Murakoze chane, John BoettnerSanta Barbara Middle School We shall endeavour to find and send it. EditorEnds
