Editor,Lately, I have read several comments in The New Times regarding the idea of building apartments in the City of Kigali. Some of the views are against the idea. The problem with many of us is that we like to speak even on matters we are not competent to speak competently and meaningfully about...somehow we cannot find the grace to humble ourselves and listen to experts. Such is the case with those of us here arguing against urban planning in Kigali. It also took the Government so much to convince people about the need to move out of “Nyakatsi” and live in more dignified homes. Some people had resisted the idea!Let us learn to respect leaders and always oppose policies when we have to – not just because there is a platform available to air out views. Bravo Kigali City administration.Moses Tumusiime
