Q&A: Rwanda ‘was invited to help but now wrongly blamed’

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo, on Saturday addressed a Kenyan business club dubbed MINDSPEAK, in Nairobi. She took questions from journalists which largely dwelt on the Congo crisis. Below are the excerpts: First question about the possibility of secession in eastern DRC Mushikiwabo: In Rwanda’s own estimate this is again not looking at the situation but extrapolating and, you know, what people think. I don’t know that there is any talk of secession in Congo. Kinshasa is very far from Goma and the eastern DRC is really another country and that’s just a geographical reality.
