Burundian gospel artiste Dudu Niyukuri is set to perform in Kigali on Saturday, July 28 at Remera Healing Centre Church.Local stars Gaby Irene Kamanzi, Aline Gahongayire and Clémentine Uwitonze, a.k.a Miss Tonzi, among others, will join Niyukuri to spice up the day.The Burundian hit maker is also set to launch his debut 16-track album, “Jubilee” in the capital in September. Niyukuri is famous for his scintillating and thrilling performances, and promises to light up Kigali with his strong vocals.“It’s true that Niyukuri will be performing in Kigali this Saturday, at Remera Healing Centre Church,” confirmed Damien Gato, the event’s coordinator.“Niyukuri is a talented gospel artiste and he has a lot to share with the Rwandan youth,” Gato told The New Times.“The singer achieved a lot during his youthful days and we want him to share his experience with our Christian youth,” he added.Proceedings will start at 5p.m and end late in the evening. Entrance is free and everyone is welcome.Niyukuri says he has entertained in various countries, and will continue to inspire people wherever his music takes him.His biggest success in mainstream music was in 2007 when his single, “Komamashi” earned massive airplay on almost all Burundian radio stations.Over the course of his career, he has been praised as a genius guitarist and saxophone expert. Niyukuri is also a sound engineer and director with T.D live production studio.He started playing piano at the age of nine and picked up the guitar in his early teens. He is a singer/songwriter and music producer.
