Friendly matchesSaturdayTz U-20 0-2 Rwanda U-20 MondayTz U-20 1-2 Rwanda U-20July 24Rwanda U-20 vs Nigeria U-20AFTER two back to back wins over Tanzania’s Heroes, the Junior Wasps team has now turned focus on next week’s international friendly match against Nigeria’s Flying Eagles as part of their preparations for the 2013 Africa Youth Championship qualifier against Mali slated for July 28 in Kigali.The junior side beat Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Heroes 2-0 on Saturday and 2-1 on Monday in their last international friendly matches played in Dar es Salaam.In Monday’s match, Charles Mwesigye Tibingana and Imran Nshimiyimana scored the goals for the visitors.Head coach Richard Tardy told Times Sport yesterday, “We have had two good games and two good results against Tanzania.”“In Monday’s game, we scored good goals on good moments but the overall performance was not so good, and I hope we’ll improve ahead of next match against Nigeria before the real test against Mali,” added the Frenchman.The team returned home yesterday and headed straight to residential camp to continue their preparations for their final friendly match.Rwanda will have to be at their best if they dream of appearing in the 2013 U-20 African Youth Championship in Algeria. Mali was ranked 4th in the last edition in South Africa and participated in the last FIFA U-20 world Cup in Colombia.The Flying Eagles will lock horns with the Heroes of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam on July 28 in the first leg of the 2013 African Youth Championship qualifying fixture, with the return leg in Nigeria on August 11.Eight teams that come out on top of two legged ties of the qualifying round will qualify for the Africa Youth Championship which will be staged in Algeria next year. The semi-finalists in the tournament will qualify for the 2013 FIFA U-20 world Cup in Turkey
