Editor,I have heard that several students registering for higher institutions of learning have missed deadlines due to the absence of notaries to notify their academic documents.I have noticed that for the last three weeks or so, long queues have been seen at several district offices, with frustrated faces. I think it was not right to allow all the notaries to go for the training without someone covering them up. Training is necessary but some of them should have remained behind to serve the public.I also think the Mayor of Gasabo, Willy Ndizeye, was unreasonable when he said that the affected students should bear with the situation until those undergoing training resume their normal responsibilities.
