Rwandan students in Pune and other parts of India definitely make a difference

Editor,I never fail to read your very interesting daily online edition of The New Times. Even when I travel, at the first available opportunity, I log on to your website and keep closely connected with what is happening in your beautiful country.It is with keen interest that I read Liban Mugabo’s article in The New Times July 7, titled “Every Rwandan counts.”Presently, I am in the city of Pune to join all Rwandan students this evening, in celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Rwanda’s Independence. Rwandan students in Pune , under the able guidance of Murangira Fernand , President , Rwandan Students Association of Pune, definitely count and make a difference as also the students in different other parts of my country.They never hesitate to come forward and showcase the rich Rwandan culture and traditions at any suitable event. In this manner, they are also true Ambassadors for the country.The Indian Merchants’ Chamber, a 105 year old Premier Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has recently launched a Skills Development Centre. We shall be very happy to extend the benefit of this Centre , not only to the Rwandan students in India , but to any other Rwandans who may want to come and do an internship, so as to equip them better to face the challenges of today’s highly demanding world.As Mugabo has very rightly concluded in his article, every Rwandan is needed to bring the country to great heights. The glowing example given by President Paul Kagame and his Government serves as a reminder that one should always strive for excellence, despite any adversity. Unlike in the past, most of these mobile Rwandans are young, brilliant and successful wherever they choose to settle.
