Editor,Arthur Asiimwe’s piece “Imagine there was no Gacaca” (The New Times, June 22) was spot on. Of particular interest was the “Gacaca: Made in Rwanda” observation. I believe more steps should be taken to fully own this Gacaca product – just as Romans own the jus civitatis – the world should be made aware for history’s sake that Gacaca is Rwandan and will continue to work in Rwanda!
