The military side were dealt a majorblow yesterday after losing 3-2 to Remera Rukoma.A brace from Alice Uwimana and a late strike from Julie Izabayo cancelled out Jolie Mbarushimana’s header and captain Oliver Umutoni’s thunder bolt to take the Remera based side into second place, a point above the 2008 champions.Champions AS Kigali, who are gunning for a fourth consecutive league title got default points against Bugesera, who did not turn up for their league encounter.AS Kigali now have a fourth point lead over second placed Remera Rukoma and a five point advantage over arch rivals APR.Despite a clear advantage over their rivals, coach Grace Nyinawumuntu, is not about to celebrate before it is mathematically clear that her team are champions.“We will keep our feet on the ground and make sure we win our remaining matches,” the former national team midfielder said.Eleven clubs, including APR, Inyemera, Remera Rukoma, The Winners, Rambura, Nyarugenge, Imirasire, ESIR, AS Kigali, Bugesera, Les Lionness and the National University of Rwanda (NUR), are taking part in the six month league.
