Editor,Allow me to respond to a story that appeared in yesterday’s issue of The New Times titled “40,000 units of blood needed.”Blood saves life. I think there is need to sensitise more Rwandans to donate blood frequently in order to maintain enough supply of blood for all patients in critical need of blood.Indeed, the fall in demand for blood by patients which is attributable to a drop in road accidents and the government’s campaign against malaria must not blind us. I think the hospitals need to print more brochures with clear information why people need to donate blood.Doreen BatetaNyagatare
