UPCOMING local artiste Jean Nyendahime, a.k.a Chris has released a new gospel track. The song, “Ashimwe” was officially released last week and is presently enjoying massive airplay on many radio stations across the nation.The single is a duet between Chris and Jimmy Muriho, who is also a gospel artiste. Kigali’s Nimonisa studio is behind the production. “We don’t have a video out yet, but the song is already out,” said Chris. “…so far, this is my favourite song and I am working towards improving the quality of my music.” In the song, Chris sings about how God raised him from obscurity to prominence and blessed his music career so much that it has touched many lives.This is the first time Chris has collaborated with a secular artiste in a gospel production. The 21-year-old artiste rose to fame after the release of his debut single “Arahamagara” – four years ago. He plans to do more collabos with famous gospel artistes.
