Nothing can be achieved by being envious

I wouldn’t know what to do if I found my girlfriend flirting with another man, maybe pull her hair. Well, am not that jealous, maybe a little, but I know that’s exactly how most people feel when they are under pressure of competition from other sharp animals on the loose.It’s usually starts slowly but when the phone calls are constant, and she can’t stop laughing at all his silly joke then it’s time to know that there’s something not right. That’s where you draw the line, either break the chain or choke them both. To me, that’s a considerate manner of the mental war that goes in our heads when we feel endangered on the love front. I’m not condoning that behavior, as it’s only human for blood to boil when we watch someone try to play with our significant other, but we ought to be aware of the fact that we’re prone to overreacting to the apparent threat.Everyone quakes intruders, even the imaginary one. Envy is simply a red light indicating that there’s something about to burst. The light means ‘I feel very insecure and don’t like it.’Back in the day, I used to go mental every time any girl I had an interest in, befriended a guy who was considered to be cool, handsome and intelligent more than me. I used to think I had all the qualities that a girl would want in a dude, but I guess that was the dumbest thought I have ever had. We need to understand that some people attract attention easily because they are simply friendly and socially confident. They relate easily with everyone from the garbage collector to the CEO. The only problem comes in when their friendship seems to be taking another level, now that’s where the where the problem comes in. The most ironic thing is, people with innocent intentions are found the most eye-catchy individuals. Before my fiancée showed up I used to struggle with envy. I usually found always compared myself to others and wondered if I wasn’t enough. I suppose it’s a dreadful sentiment and a waste of energy that should have any place in this world. However, it’s there and it’s because of aggressive egos which constantly need to be rubbed, and if the one we choose to rub us doesn’t do it, then all hell breaks loose.Envy more like a disease. But how does one overcome it? Personally, I will do anything it takes to get rid of the pressure. Self-confidence and open, honest communication is the key. I know this makes me sound like a cultured person and boring, but it’s the truth. For example, if you don’t like the fact that he spends a lot of time with another, join them. If he doesn’t give you a cold shoulder, then you can enjoy the chat. If it’s the opposite, tie your partner on a leash, pull him/her home and crucify him/her all you what.The direct and honest approach is not the easiest way to go, but in the end it’s the best.
