Editor,I wish to comment about the story that ran in The Sunday Times, under the title, ‘Property Expo sheds light on real estate’. First, I must state that this was an important expo. Indeed the annual event is expected to fill the information void considering that many people are ignorant about the real estate services and mortgage facilities offered by banks.Nonetheless, this raises a very serious question. How are marketing departments operating efficiently to reach many people? There is more to marketing strategies than billboards and TV ads. I think our banks and real estate companies should be doing more to reach people of all kinds.I wish to thank the organisers of last week’s event, and hope that the concerned institutions will learn a lesson or two.Emmy
