World’s football body, FIFA has passed a motion for team players to shake hands before and after the final whistle. The motion was passed on Friday in the on-going Fifa Congress 2012 in Budapest. Fifa made the commitment to a partnership with the Nobel Peace Centre, one that will see the introduction of a new procedure known as the ‘Handshake for Peace’.“This partnership will join two of the world strongest brands,” said Fifa President, Joseph Blatter.The new procedure will be implemented in all upcoming FIFA competitions including the FIFA Club World Cup in December, next year’s FIFA Confederation Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. It was not immediately clear whether it will be mandatory in football games in the world including internationals and league matches.The Amavubi team manager Alfred Ngarambe also informed captain Olivier Karekezi of the new development which will be implemented when Rwanda face Algeria in the first leg of the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifier on June 2 in Algiers.
