NOTHING excited me more going to church as a child like the beautiful stained glass windows that were so evident in my local parish church- which also happened to be the Cathedral. The church was built over one hundred years ago, and I must say it was built with a lot of taste! On each window, there is a large stained glass window each with a different theme; in this case each window had a stained picture of a saint. Looking at these windows, it is a testimony that architects and building contractors of those days were so full of energy, and that building such an extra-ordinary church was not only prestigious, but it also portrayed the great trial of their patience; just imagine putting together someone’s portrait in form of glass, capturing the skin color as well as the details of the clothes!Now you can imagine to my utter surprise when I found that one lady who is in love with stained glass, decided to have the windows in her home in stained glass; simply beautiful!In the many years that I boost to have travelled far and wide, I have never come across a home which used stained glass on the windows; the only place I knew that stained glass was used was in churches and nowhere else!
