RECENTLY my friends and I had gone visiting and ended up spending our night in a small cottage in the country side. We were tired when booking ourselves in the hotel, that by the time we entered out rooms we hit the bed and slept like babies.Morning passed by so fast, or so I thought as I was woken up by the smell of food cooking in the kitchen; I opened my eyes so that I could gather myself to go for a bath, and as I was still gathering myself out of the bed, I stopped in my tracks and stared at what I was seeing in front of me. At first I thought I had actually slept with my windows open, because I came face to face with a beautiful mountain with snow capped on top of it, but when I looked closer I realized that I was looking a very beautiful artwork, in the form of a wall paper.As were having breakfast, I shared my experience with my four friends, when all of them at once said that they too had the same experience in their respective rooms. We went round the cottage and were amused by the wall papers that the owners have used to spruce up the walls of their cottage to give it a new feel.Wall papers have been used for very many years. I remember, growing up wall papers used to be there, but only the few people who could afford are the ones who used them. Recently, wall papers have come back to grace our walls again; this time round they are much cheaper than they were over thirty years ago. Wallpapers can be used to spruce up more than just your walls. In fact, combined with a bit of imagination and some old-fashioned designs, it offers a vibrant and affordable way to redecorate.Apart from just the walls; Wallpaper can turn an old coffee table into a standout piece. For as long as you choose a shade or pattern that coordinates with the rest of the furniture in the room.Wall papers have come back to being because; people have now realized that switching wallpapers is easier as well as cheaper than changing paints in houses. Recently Interior decorators have come up with totally new themes for room designs using wallpapers instead of normal painting. The current trend in the interior décor has given a great rise to wallpaper demands as it is cheap and easier to handle. As such it would not be surprising if you find a very inspiring interior somewhere and end up discovering it to be all but wallpaper just like we did!With the emerging trends; there are so many options for wall paper. There are textured wallpaper, flocked wallpaper, metallic wallpaper, glass bead wallpaper and the list can go on. The good thing about wall paper is that it is versatile; you don’t have to use it on an entire room. You can use it to accent one wall or to decorate a section of a wall.
