Editor, Reference is made to your article that appeared in The New Times yesterday titled “Pardoning of Genocide convicts sparks debate.”I am not surprised that the proposal to release elderly Genocide convicts has opened old wounds among survivors who, rightly so, “believe the elderly epitomised the genocide ideology”.Personally, I think those old men/women did not have sympathy towards their victims. Then, why should the Rwandan society have pity for them. Let them serve their full sentence.Vvenant SafaliKimironko
