Polish Marcin Andrzejczak defended his ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Grade 5 trophy, beating his countryman Juliusz Stanczyk 2-0 (6-2 6-2) in the final game held at Kicukiro Ecology Tennis Club on Friday, May 5. READ ALSO: Andrzejczak wins ITF World Tennis Tour junior tourney Andrzejczak won the first phase of ITF World Tennis Tour on April 28, beating Rwanda Junior Hakizumwami 2-0 (6-2 6-2). Both phases took place in Kigali, Rwanda. Andrzejczak was in total control of the game from the very first minute, through his strong attacks that his compatriot Stancyzk failed to manage. The Polish won the first set 6-2 before producing the same score to make it 2-0 and win the title in a dominant fashion. READ ALSO: Why Rwanda is fast becoming a home for tennis Andrzejczak reached the final after eliminating Egyptian Mostafa Noureldine 2-2 (6-1 6-4) while Stancyzk eliminated Rwandan Claude Ishimwe by 2-1 (3-6 6-4 7-5) on Thursday. The ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors tournament is one of the six international tennis tournaments that Rwanda will host in 2023.
