Editor,I have read several stories of journalists practicing in Rwanda and their work demonstrates that there is now a reasonable level of professionalism in the sector. I believe that the improvement has been registered because most of the journalists have gone back to school to upgrade their skills. Today when I read stories in the local media, I see some interesting analyses. They are now more educative and informative than in the past. Sensational reporting has also reduced, with journalists now trying to balance their stories and desisting from slandering other people.I appeal to the ministry in charge of media to try its best and support Rwandan journalists in their quest to becoming even more professional and financially viable.Lillian AgabaNyagatare
